Trends: Fall-Winter 2015-16

The new season is just around the corner, so it might be a good idea to check what designers prepared for us this time.

Most of the trends are good oldies and chances are that you have some of them already in your closet.

Materials:

Velvet, lace, leather, tweed, fur. If you have them all in one outfit, you are super trendy ;p (kidding)

The 70’s

They are still here and again it is the biggest trend of the coming season, including all the attributes, such as flares, wide leg trousers, jumpsuits, prints, suede, fringe, polo necks, flowy dresses, straight part hair and choker scarves.

Thigh high boots

The next big ‪‎trend‬ is thigh high boots. Suede boots with low block heels are safer option than patent leather boots with stilletto heels and platform. (Thanks cap!)

I’ve been looking for a good, but inexpensive pair for a while now. Hope there will be more choice this ‪autumn.

Fur

Fur is everywhere. If you happen to have an old fur coat that is not possible to wear any longer, you can cut it in pieces and make a fur stole, a muff, sleeves, cuffs, collar, pockets, hem trim or a bag. You can even decorate your shoes. Trendy and environment friendly ;p

 Victorian and Edwardian Style

“Victoriana” is another trend that was all over the runways. I love it and hope it will stay for at least a couple of seasons.

Pussy bow

If you have a pussy bow blouse, you are in trend this autumn!  If you haven’t got any, just tie a scarf as a bow and you are done!

Car wash skirts

This is something new to me. Definitely want to try!

Quilted

Quilted tweed jacket for me, please.

Accessories:

Beret

Time to take it out!

Furry shoes

Do you dare? Furry pom poms can be an alternative.

Corset

And the last one. A tube top worn over a shirt or dress is a micro trend so far, but it’s a simple way to update the look.

Band of outsiders, ADEAM, street style

Don’t forget that dresses over pants and socks with heels are still trendy!

Are you ready for the new season? Anything you want to try?
